The short version: Quit does not store any personal data on the developer's own servers. Your diary, voice memos, habits and other personal entries remain exclusively on your device. Only anonymous, aggregated events tied to a random UUID are sent to Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics - no names, diary text, voice notes or other identifying data.
This Privacy Policy ("Policy") describes what information Sole Proprietor Hanenko Oleksandr Anatoliyovych ("we", "us", "Developer") collects, uses, stores and protects when you use the Quit mobile application ("App", "Service") and the related website at https://quitapp.top.
Quit is an iOS mobile application designed to support users in changing harmful habits. This Privacy Policy explains what data is collected when you use the App and how it is processed.
By using Quit, you agree to the terms of this Policy. If you do not agree, please stop using the App.
If you are a Pro subscriber and have enabled iCloud Sync or iCloud Backup in Settings, your local database (habits, attempts, diary entries, voice memos, certificates, settings) is synced to the CloudKit Private Database of your Apple ID. This database is governed entirely by Apple Inc.: we have no access to it and cannot read, export or share it with third parties. Removal of data from the iCloud Private Database is done via iOS Settings → Apple ID → iCloud → Manage Storage → Quit. For free users, iCloud sync is not active and all data remains exclusively local.
If you opt into Leaderboard, a public profile record is created in the CloudKit Public Database governed by Apple. The record contains only: your first name, the first letter of your last name, your chosen username, accent color, and weekly score. No diary, notes, voice-memo, certificate or health data is ever transmitted to Leaderboard. Records are created and controlled within your Apple ID; we do not have access to your Apple ID. Reports of abusive names or profiles are stored in a CloudKit moderation table - we may hide or remove a public record.
The App uses the following third-party SDKs: Google Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics (anonymous usage statistics and crash reports), Google AdMob (ads for free users), and RevenueCat (technical processor of subscriptions on top of Apple StoreKit). Details - in section 5 "Sharing with third parties".
Data stored locally is used solely to display your results, calculate streaks and run the App's features. We do not have access to it.
Anonymous analytics helps us understand which features are useful and improve the App. We also use data to send notifications, process subscriptions, diagnose crashes and serve ads to free users.
All personal data is stored exclusively on your device (iOS file protection) and is not transmitted to us. You are responsible for the security of your device.
For additional protection, the App supports Face ID / Touch ID app lock. All network traffic to Firebase, AdMob and Apple servers is transmitted via HTTPS/TLS.
No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. You use the App at your own risk in respect of any security incident not caused by our gross negligence.
We do not sell or share personal data with third parties for marketing purposes. Data is shared only with the following service providers and only to the extent necessary to operate the corresponding feature:
Apple processes purchases (StoreKit), HealthKit data, your iCloud account, the CloudKit infrastructure, Siri, Spotlight and push notifications. Control over your iCloud data (including your Apple ID, encryption and storage) belongs entirely to Apple Inc., not to us. We only define the schema of records in CloudKit; the records themselves are stored in your Apple ID under Apple's control. Apple privacy policy: apple.com/legal/privacy
Quit uses Apple's CloudKit Private Database for synchronization and backup of your local database (habits, attempts, diary entries, certificates, settings) across your Apple devices. This data is stored exclusively in your personal iCloud account under Apple's control - we have no access, cannot read it and cannot share it with third parties. The feature is available only to Pro subscribers, is opt-in via Settings, and is governed by your Apple ID. Disabling the feature or cancelling Pro leaves your local data on your device; iCloud Private Database copies can be deleted via iOS Settings → Apple ID → iCloud → Manage Storage → Quit.
We use the RevenueCat platform as a technical processor of subscriptions and in-app purchases on top of Apple StoreKit. RevenueCat receives only the data Apple StoreKit provides for entitlement verification: product identifier (e.g. com.quit.pro.monthly), purchase/expiration dates, transaction ID, active entitlement status, and an anonymous App User ID tied solely to your device (not to your Apple ID, name or email). RevenueCat does not receive your name, email, phone number, banking data or passwords. Privacy policy: revenuecat.com/privacy
Collects anonymized usage statistics and crash reports tied only to an anonymous Firebase Installation ID. Privacy policy: firebase.google.com/support/privacy
Serves banner, interstitial and/or rewarded ads to users without an active Pro subscription. AdMob may receive device identifiers, IP address and ad-engagement metadata for ad delivery, frequency capping, attribution and fraud prevention. Quit does NOT use App Tracking Transparency to obtain the IDFA. For users in the EU/EEA, UK and Switzerland a Consent Management Platform prompt is shown for personalized vs non-personalized ads. Privacy policy: policies.google.com/technologies/ads
We may disclose information if required by law (court order, subpoena, lawful government request) or to protect the rights, property or safety of our users.
In the event of a merger, acquisition or asset sale, your data may be transferred as part of such transaction. We will notify users of any such transfer that materially affects this Policy.
Quit may synchronize with Apple Health only with your explicit permission granted through the standard HealthKit consent screen. Health data is stored and processed exclusively on your device.
Quit only requests WRITE permission to HealthKit (it does not read any health data from Apple Health). Only two categories of events are recorded:
Quit writes no other data to Apple Health - it does not log "clean days" from smoking or alcohol, does not record smoking status or any other category, does not write steps, weight, heart rate or anything else. Quit also does NOT read any data from Apple Health.
HealthKit data is NEVER transmitted to our servers or any third party, is never used for advertising, is never sent to Firebase, Crashlytics or AdMob, and is never sold. HealthKit access can be revoked at any time via iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Health → Quit.
Quit is not a medical device - Health data displayed in the App is purely informational and does not diagnose, treat or prevent any disease. Apple Health privacy policy: apple.com/legal/privacy
Because we do not collect personal data on our servers, most of your data is under your direct control on your device.
California residents have the right to know, delete and opt out of "sale" or "sharing" of personal data. We do NOT sell personal data as defined by the CCPA.
To exercise any of these rights, write to quitappsupport@gmail.com. We will respond within 30 days. We may ask you to verify control of your anonymous identifier (e.g. via a code from inside the App) before fulfilling the request.
Quit is rated 13+ in the App Store and is not directed to children under 13 (under 16 in EU jurisdictions that have raised the digital-consent age under GDPR). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under those ages.
In compliance with the U.S. Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), we do not knowingly collect, use or disclose personal information from children under 13 without verifiable parental consent.
If you become aware that a child has provided us with personal information, write to quitappsupport@gmail.com - we will delete it promptly. Parental supervision is recommended for any user under the age of majority in their jurisdiction.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this document reflects the most recent revision. Material changes (e.g. introduction of a new type of processing or a new third-party processor) will be communicated through an in-app notice. Your continued use of the App after notice constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
